rock and roll suicide - david bowie.
he declared that if he ever played it live it would be the end of Ziggy. then he performed it as the last song of the last show of the last tour. and it was class! it's a damn shame too - Mick Ronson was a fine guitarist and never really went on to better things after the Spiders From Mars split up.
any more?

He toured with Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue and produced Morrissey's Your Arsenal, what more could a man want from life?

Like A Rolling Stone - Jimi Hendrix at the monterey pop festival 1967. I have seen the footage and heard the record, it's a really great version of a really great Dylan song.
Good performances (emo wise) are usually those end of a festival/last act of the night performances when its dark and the likes of the Stereophonics or The Manics play a radio hit; everyone is singing and maybe it's raining. It's one of those great atmospheres.

every song on the Live At Leeds album, it got voted number 8 best bass album and it was the only live album in the top 50. god bless Mr entwhisle, may he rest easy knowing he was the best rock bass player ever.
